At the heart of the Recon Scout is a 7.5-inch clip point blade made from CPM-3V steel, a high-performance tool steel known for its outstanding toughness and resistance to chipping. The satin finish adds a clean, functional look while helping reduce reflection in the field. This blade excels at chopping and slicing tasks, with a robust spine that inspires confidence under heavy pressure. Its clip point design offers improved penetration, making it versatile enough for both utility and defensive needs.
The handle is made from Cold Steel's durable Kray-Ex material, providing a secure, slip-resistant grip even in wet or cold conditions. Ergonomically contoured and reinforced with a stainless steel guard, the handle offers excellent control and hand protection during hard use. A lanyard hole at the base allows for added retention options, particularly useful in rough terrain or when working at height.
Weighing 9.5 ounces, the Recon Scout strikes a practical balance between heft and manageability.
